NEW DESIGNER! Painted Squirrel
Painted Squirrel Designs

The story of Painted Squirrel Design begins in Italy, where Toronto jewelry designer Catherine Durnan spent her honeymoon. In Rome’s Ancient City, she was inspired by the harmony between ancient ruins and a modern, cosmopolitan city. On the Amalfi Coast, she admired the steep, winding stone pathways she would follow down to the natural beauty of the Tyrrhenian Sea.
For her Painted Squirrel Design label, Catherine’s designs are an attempt to evoke a modern-day charm, while unifying old-world elements with nature-inspired organic components. She handcrafts pieces using the finest materials - sterling silver, gold-vermeil, semiprecious gemstones, freshwater pearls and Swarovski crystals. Created to be worn individually or layered together, her fresh designs have a serendipitous feel, and add charm to everyday outfits.
Moving forward, Catherine is driven to diversify her collections and is continually creating new designs; keeping her collections fresh, new and on-trend.

CHANGES IN STORE!
Forsya is changing!
Forsya has such a wonderful clientele that we can't just make changes without letting you know first!
Can you believe we have been here for 3 1/2 years already?! Its been an amazing experience so far and I owe it all to you.
Over the years our business has been growing in every direction. When we opened we were predominantly a boutique and gallery and because we offer free alterations on everything in the store...we decided to provide an alteration and custom sewing service as the demand was there. As that was my business before I opened Forsya it seemed very natural, especially after hearing some of your sad but also funny alteration experiences. We have also slowly developed our in house line that now we can't seem to produce fast enough even with some extra busy hands helping me.
So what I'm saying is...
There is just not enough hours in the day.
We want to serve our customers better and provide a great service with a fast turn around and be able to take on more at a time for you. As you know we are deep into wedding season and I sadly have had to turn away some of your alteration requests and I hate to do that.
We've come up with a solution...
We need a devoted production day.
In addition to being closed Mondays (as that often turns into a sewing day anyway), we will be temporarily closing Tuesdays as well to devote solely to sewing and production. This will allow us to better help our customers with all your alteration needs and expand our in house line.
But do not fret...we will be available by appointment on Tuesdays.
You can make an appointment for fittings for alterations or even if that's your day off and you reeeeaaaalllly need that dress you were eyeing up.
Don't worry, just call or email me and we will be here to help.

This is a trial, we would love your feedback on this, let us know if the transition is working and the turn around is quicker and your able to make an appointment easily.
